For the duration of the conference, simultaneous translation from Polish into English and from English into Polish is planned.

He was a member of the Ecological Council at the President of the Republic of Poland, a member of the Council for Sustainable Development at the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, a member of the National Environmental Impact Assessment Committee, currently he is the chairman of the Steering Committee of the LIFE-MAPPINGAIR / PL project.

Supervisory Board of Industrial Development Agency SA in Warsaw
He has been the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board of Industrial Development Agency SA in Warsaw since 2016. He supervises development projects of key importance for the Polish economy at ARP SA.
He is the Proxy of the Board of the National Chamber of Energy Clusters and is the R&D manager of projects implemented by the Association for the Development of Energy Innovation ZKlaster in Zgorzelec.
In design activities, he tries to combine economic and technical knowledge with social aspects.

Graduated in Strategic Managment from Warsaw School of Economics and Scandinavian studies from SWPS University. PhD student at the Warsaw School of Economics. Since 2010 have been involved in waste management issues. She was representing National Chamber of Waste Management in Brussels and cooperated with Municipal Waste Europe. Thanks to this cooperation she was actively involved in establishing pronciples of Circular Economy Package. She used to represent MPO in Warsaw Ltd. On the position Chief Strategy Officer. Now she represents the EKO-PAK Packaging Industry Union of Employers as member of the board and secretary general. Togehter with Nestle Polska and Pepsico Polska, she has been implementing ReFlex project dedicated sorting and recycling of flexible plastic packaging waste. She focuses at her work and scientific research on improving waste management system in Poland, especially in the perspective of Circular Economy.

Specialises in issues related to the climate crisis and ways of overcoming it, circular economy, as well as people- and environmentally-friendly cities.
He is especially keen on connecting environmental and social policies in the spirit of sustainable development and on creating an innovative green economy.
Author of texts and co-creator of reports on these topics, such as “Green New Deal in Poland”, “Green New Social Deal”, articles on eco-taxation and the influence of climate change on public health in readers published by Krytyka Polityczna (Political Critique). Polish correspondent of the Green European Journal.
Prof. Joanna Kulczycka

She is the professor in the Faculty of Management at the AGH University of Science and Technology, and in the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences (the founder of and head the Department of Strategic Research). She has a Ph.D. in management (1998) from AGH UTS (Cracow), and a D. Sc. degree (habilitation) in economics (commodity science) from Poznań University of Economics. Author of over 300 publications. Member of the UNEP Resource Panel, EU EIT Raw Materials (operational group), and the Committee for the Sustainable Management of Raw Materials of the Polish Academy of Science. She has experience in the management and realisation of EU projects, from 5FP UE, H2020, Interreg, KIC Raw Materials, Era-min and in the organisation of many conferences and workshops. President of the Waste Management and Recycling Cluster – Key National Clusters in Poland.

Weronika Urbańska, PhD. Eng.

Doctor of engineering and technology in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy, specialty: waste technology; research and teaching assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Protection Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Wrocław University of Technology. Author of publications in the field of waste management, mainly technologies of metal recovery from waste Li-ion batteries; participant of national and international scientific and industry conferences. For her activities for the environment and counteracting climate change, in 2021 she was awarded in the competition of the Ministry of Climate and Environment – „The Climate Person of The Year”. Member of the Wrocław Academy of Young Scholars and Artists.

Deputy Director for SmartCity in the City Promotion and Tourism Office of the Wrocław City Hall. A graduate of economics (UMCS in Lublin), project management (WSB University in Wrocław) and MBA studies (Franklin University of Ohio). Since 2006, he has been associated with the Wrocław City Hall. Responsible among others for establishing an in-house company implementing large investments, in which he coordinated tasks related to the organization of the UEFA European Football Championship EURO 2012 in Wrocław, including the construction of a stadium. From 2014 Director of the Project Management Office (from 2019 SmartCity and Project Management Office). Author of the policy and methodology of project management at the Maior’s Office, as well as the coordinator of tasks important for the city related to intelligent and low-emission public transport, culture, revitalization, a water junction, as well as large cultural (European Capital of Culture 2016) and sports events (2017 The World Games 2017). Since 2015, he has been developing the idea of Smart City and Wrocław City Lab.
He is a certified Director level A of International Project Management Association. Several times winner of awards for the best managed project in Poland. Currently interested in the development and implementation of innovations.
Grażyna Chaberek, PhD

Economist with specialization in „transport and logistics” and doctor of Earth Sciences in the field of Socio-Economic Geography; GIS analyst; Deputy Director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management for Education at Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Gdańsk. The scientific work of Dr. Grażyna Chaberek focuses on modeling urban logistics systems and urban development based on logistics scenarios, including trends in the use of alternative technologies in urban transport as well as the use of rail transport in logistics support of urban areas.
Prof. Isam Shahrour

Distinguished professor at Lille University (France). His academic activity concerns smart and sustainable cities, and civil and geo-environmental Engineering. It resulted in about 170 refereed journal papers and the supervision of around 90 PhD dissertations and more than five million € of industrial and public contracts. He gave more than 40 lectures on topics related to cities including two TEDx talks.
Prof. Izabela Sówka

Since 1997, Professor Izabela Sówka has been active at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST), where she is currently employed as a professor in the Department of Environmental Protection Engineering of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering. She is the initiator and president of the Center for Sustainable Development and Climate Protection of WUST (https://klimat.pwr.edu.pl/). She is also a member of many workgroups and committees at the academic, regional and national level, i.e. the Environmental Engineering Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and vice-chairmanship of the Scientific Council at the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Zabrze.

Professor at Poznan School of Logistics, ex-Director of Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, ex-Associate Professor at Poznan University of Economics and Business, an author of 300 scientific and popularization papers dealing with e-commerce, logistics, last mile, out-of-home delivery, and supply chain management. He has delivered over 60 projects.
He was a visiting professor at University of Primorska in Slovenia (2016, 2017) and provided invited lectures and talks at Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), InnoRenew CoE (Slovenia), and University of Edinburgh (Scotland). He participated in the Erasmus programme at University of Osijek (Croatia) and Valencia University of Technology (Spain).

She graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław, majoring in administration and majoring in law. After graduation, she worked as an advisor in the legal department. Since 2006, an arbitration judge in commercial cases. In 2013, she obtained the prestigious European Senior Logistician ESLog certificate. Employee of WSB University in Wrocław and manager of Logistics Specialization. Passionate about law and logistics as a lecturer, trainer and business advisor. She conducts research projects in the field of sustainable development in transport.

Since 2015, she has working with the e-obuwie.pl company, starting from the lowest position as an operator, to a specialist, leader, department manager, logistics center manager, up to the current position. Currently, she is responsible for non-operational departments related to Logistics – analytics, environmental protection, logistics purchases.

Born 1960, SGH in Warsaw graduate, started his carrier in 1985 working for “Pekaes „Auto-Transport” SA, in 1990 opened representative office of Schenker & Co. AG in Warsaw. He was a member of Management Board of Schenker, Danzas, Servisco and since 2003 was a member of Management Board of DHL Express (Poland) sp. z o.o. responsible for Freight. In 2007 he took position of Managing Director of DHL Freight in Poland and Ukraine. Since 2012 until 2015 r. was responsible for development of intermodal rail connection between Europe and China. Since 2016 until 2019 r. he took position of Regional Manager North by DHL Freight Germany. Since 2019 r. he is managing as MD DHL Freight in Poland. He wrote a book „Forwarding in practice – XXIst. Century”, which had 2 editions.

In 2017-2021, he was the manager of a grant financed by the National Centre for Research and Development, under the title “Demand forecasting system controlled by dynamic fashion trends for clothing, textile and lingerie enterprises”. Collaboration with the industry resulted in a fashion forecasting application called FashionRadar.

He has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology, primary focus on the Network design, deployment, and development of Network solutions in Retail, harsh environment industrial Wi-Fi, Airports and High Density Wi-Fi solutions in stadium and other large public venues.
Some of his recent projects include HD Wi-Fi deployments at Norwegian football league, Swedish football league, PSG Stadium, IKEA next generation stores, IKEA worldwide warehouses, H&M stores/offices, Microsoft wireless offices, Boliden, LKAB mine, Hamad Port, FIFA 2018, 2022 (In progress) and EXPO 2020 (In progress).

A graduate of the University of Warsaw with many years of experience in environmental projects. UN Environment Program (UNEP) and EU expert in the field of environmental data analysis. Involved in the work on the UNEP Global Environment Outlook 6 report, for which she was awarded the 2020 Prose Awards (Association of American Publishers Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence) in the environmental science category. She was awarded three times, together with the UNEP / GRID-Warsaw team, with the award of the Minister of Climate and Environment for special scientific and research achievements in the field of protection, development and use of the environment and its resources. Initiator of the Partnership for the implementation of the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) „Together for the environment” (2016), coordinated by UNEP /GRID-Warsaw. Sustainable Development Leader of FORBES Women Polska magazine (2021). Awarded with the Green Eagle of the Republic of Poland (Zielony Orzeł Rzeczpospolitej) (2021) – distinction in the FEMALE TITAN (TYTANKA) category.

His passion is to search for methods, tools, and solutions to improve the management of the department, area, and company, combining theoretical knowledge with years of practical experience and managerial skills.
Larysa Dysput-Goławska

She is an alumn of the Foreign Trade Department of the Central School of Planning and Statistics (currently SGH). Immediately after graduation, she worked in the Radio and Television Committee as a junior editor. In 1986, she took over the company from her mother, who founded the AVA Cosmetic Laboratory in 1960 – a private craft workshop – and decided to continue its activities. She started working in the basement of a residential house, producing 3 types of cosmetics. During its activity, the company portfolio has been expanded by 400 new products, which are currently manufactured in a modern large production plant, built with respect for the natural environment.
The entire activity focuses on the production of natural cosmetics of the highest quality. AVA Cosmetic Laboratory was the first Polish company in 2010 to obtain the international ECOCERT certificate for its products. In harmony with nature is the slogan of the company that has lead all its activities continuously for 35 years.

Solutions Architect of Westernacher, a consulting company based in Sopot. He works on transformation projects in the area of production, logistics and supply chain, which are delivered on SAP technology platforms. He gained experience in the international business environment, starting his career in the Polish subsidiary of International Computers Limited, and later in the first SAP Polska team in Warsaw. He has spent 23 years providing consulting services in various countries around the world. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
